# Croydon Mosque & Islamic Centre

Croydon Mosque & Islamic Centre (CMIC) is an established place of worship and community hub serving Thornton Heath and the wider Croydon area since the 1970s. The mosque provides comprehensive Islamic religious services including five daily prayers with scheduled iqamah times, Friday congregational prayers (Jumu'ah) with two seatings, and Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan.

Beyond worship, CMIC operates as a multifaceted community institution. The mosque offers Madrasah classes for Islamic education to both boys and girls, providing structured religious learning for younger generations. A dedicated youth club runs weekly sessions, fostering community bonds and Islamic values amongst young people. The centre also delivers weekly spiritual enrichment through Dars (Islamic lectures) held on Fridays with live broadcasts available.
