# Tawheed Foundation

Tawheed Foundation is an Islamic educational organisation based in Peterborough that has been serving the Muslim community since February 2011. They specialise in Quranic memorisation (Hifz) alongside complementary Islamic studies, offering accelerated programmes that have enabled students to memorise the entire Quran in 3-4 years.

The foundation serves young Muslims seeking authentic Islamic education grounded in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and the first three generations of Muslims. Their programmes emphasise quality over quantity, with interactive classes built on genuine participation rather than passive lectures. Students are encouraged to view memorisation not as an end in itself, but as a transformative tool for developing both spiritual understanding and community leadership.

What sets Tawheed Foundation apart is their distinctive philosophical approach. They prioritise authenticity, refusing to teach fabricated narrations and maintaining rigorous standards of Islamic scholarship. Equally important is their commitment to non-autocratic governance, operating through Shura (consultation) rather than top-down authority—a principle they embed into their teaching methodology.

All classes are offered entirely free of charge, though students are expected to demonstrate sincere commitment and consistency. Their curriculum includes Hifz, Fiqh (jurisprudence), Hadith, Seerah (prophetic biography), and character development classes.
