# Bury Park Mosque

Bury Park Jamie Masjid is a community-focused Islamic centre located in Luton that serves as a hub for prayer, education, and social cohesion. The mosque operates five daily congregational prayers and provides a welcoming space for Muslims and non-Muslims alike to engage with Islamic learning and community initiatives.

The masjid distinguishes itself through its diverse programming that extends beyond traditional religious services. It hosts weekly Qur'an Tafsir sessions in English, making Islamic scholarship accessible to English-speaking congregants. The centre also offers Korean Military Martial Arts classes led by Master Zakareah Khan, an instructor with over 40 years of martial arts experience and 18 years as a Metropolitan Police Officer. This unique offering combines physical fitness, self-defence, and discipline with Islamic community values.

Additionally, Bury Park Mosque organises significant religious events such as the Hajj Seminar 2026, preparing pilgrims for the Islamic pilgrimage. The organisation prioritises education for all ages, offering both religious and secular learning programmes, whilst maintaining a strong focus on character building and moral development.

All services are volunteer-led and community-funded, reflecting the masjid's grassroots commitment to continuous improvement.
