Housed in a converted Victorian Fire Station, the mosque serves the local Muslim community and beyond, offering comprehensive religious and social services. Originally accommodating just 70 people, the facility expanded with a Portacabin in 1994 to meet growing demand, particularly during Friday prayers and the holy months of Ramadan and Eid.
The mosque operates as a multifaceted community hub rather than a prayer-only venue. It facilitates all five daily prayers (Fajr, Zhur, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha) with scheduled Jama'at times, whilst also serving as a centre for religious education, counselling, and life guidance.
