# South Wales Islamic Centre

The South Wales Islamic Centre is a mosque and community institution located in Butetown, Cardiff, serving the Muslim population of Wales. As a democratically governed organisation run entirely by volunteer committee members, the centre provides essential religious and educational services to its community.

The Centre functions as more than a place of worship; it operates a comprehensive Islamic studies programme designed to advance Islamic knowledge and practice. The mosque offers daily prayer facilities with published salah (prayer) times for the five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. Given the increasing demand from worshippers, the Centre has undertaken an extension project to accommodate growing attendance numbers.

All committee members are democratically nominated and elected at annual general meetings, ensuring the organisation remains responsive to community needs.
