The facility is thoughtfully designed to accommodate both men and women, with separate ablution areas featuring modern amenities. The men's ablution section includes 12 wudhu stations, four toilets and a shower cubicle, whilst the women's facilities comprise two toilets, two wudhu stations and a dedicated baby/toddler changing area. The centre also includes pre-burial ritual wash facilities for the deceased, reflecting its role in serving the community through all life stages.

Acquired in 2014 as a former garage for £250,000, the building underwent comprehensive renovation from February 2016 onwards, transforming it into a modern, fit-for-purpose Islamic facility. This represents significant community commitment, evidenced by their ongoing Phase 2 fundraising campaign. The centre replaced the previous Westminster Street location, which operated for nine years in town centre premises, demonstrating the community's growth and need for improved facilities.
