The centre operates a Hifz school—a specialised programme dedicated to teaching students to memorise the entire Qur'an, one of Islam's most revered spiritual accomplishments.

The centre primarily serves young people from the local area who wish to pursue Qur'anic memorisation without the burden of relocating away from home. Previously, families in St Albans had no local alternative and were forced to send their children to other regions of the country to access this type of education. By establishing the first Hifz school of its kind in Hertfordshire, LCIC has addressed a significant community need and made this prestigious Islamic education accessible locally.
