# Al-Baseera Bristol Centre
Al-Baseera Bristol Centre is an Islamic community organisation based in central Bristol that has served the Muslim community since 2012. Located in Bristol BS2 9DR, the centre provides comprehensive religious, educational, and social services grounded in Qur'anic teachings and the Sunnah.
The organisation serves hundreds of worshippers daily through five daily prayers and offers dedicated Islamic education via its madrassa programme, teaching children Qur'anic studies and Islamic principles. Adult members benefit from regular weekly lessons covering Tafsir (Qur'anic interpretation), Aqeedah (Islamic creed), Fiqh (jurisprudence), and Seerah (prophetic biography), with separate sessions for men and women.
Beyond worship and education, Al-Baseera actively engages in da'wah and community outreach through public events and street engagement, aiming to share authentic Islamic knowledge. The centre also provides family support services and programmes specifically designed for youth development.
Currently operating at full capacity, Al-Baseera is undertaking an ambitious relocation project to a 1.56-acre property on Pennywell Road (formerly the Nissan Garage dealership). This purpose-built facility will accommodate 800+ worshippers with expanded prayer halls, dedicated classrooms, wudhu facilities, counselling rooms, and multi-purpose community spaces. The £3 million project aims to establish a comprehensive Islamic hub combining worship, education, youth programmes, and social welfare services for Bristol's growing Muslim community.
